jocopod

This is an old revision of the document!

Vorläufiger Inhalt. Mehr folgt...

Anleitung

    1. Calib 1 solange drücken, bis grüne LED schnell blinkt (2 Hz).
    2. Beide Achsen in ihre Extreme bewegen *)
    3. Beide Achsen in Mittel- bzw. Ruhestellung (Lenkrad in Mitte, Gaspedal loslassen)

  • In Mittelstellung ungefähr 127
  • In den Extremlagen 0 bzw. 255

English Version:

Jocopod can be used to adapt an analogue PC steering wheel or joystick to the C64 control port and simulates up to two paddles there.

Manual

  • Plug and unplug everything only when power is off!
  • Jocopod has two LEDs and two buttons to let you calibrate your input device. The button next to the green LED is Button 1, the one next to the red LED is Button 2 (there is also a separate reset button but this is normally not needed).
  • To calibrate a newly connected input device:
    1. Press Button 1 until the green LED starts blinking rapidly (2 Hz).
    2. Move all axes to their extremes *) (left, right, front and back).
    3. Center all axes (center steering wheel or joystick, release throttle).
    4. Press Button 1 or 2 or one of the joystick buttons to finish the calibration.
  • The calibration is stored inside the Jocopod and has only to be repeated when changing the input device.
  • In normal operation mode the green LED is blinking slowly (0.5 Hz) and the red one indicates the center position of the X-axis.

*) Jocopod translates the given movement range to a full range of simulated paddle movement, so when you want to have full paddle deflection with less input device movement, move your input device only to your desired maximum positions in step 2.
